چکیده

Quantum Natural Language Processing (QNLP) deals with the design and implementation of NLP models intended to be run on quantum hardware. In this paper, we present results first experiments conducted Noisy Intermediate-Scale (NISQ) computers for datasets size greater than 100 sentences. Exploiting formal similarity compositional model meaning by Coecke, Sadrzadeh Clark (2010) theory, create representations sentences that have a natural mapping circuits. We use these implement successfully train solve simple sentence classification tasks conduct simulations compare syntax-sensitive Coecke et al. two baselines less or no syntax; specifically, analogues "bag-of-words" model, where syntax is not taken into account at all, word-sequence only word order respected. demonstrate all converge smoothly both in when hardware, are expected ones based nature used. Compositional Distributional Models of Meaning

Distributional models of meaning (see Turney and Pantel (2010) for an overview) are based on the pragmatic hypothesis that meanings of words are deducible from the contexts in which they are often used. This hypothesis is formalized using vector spaces, wherein a word is represented as a vector of cooccurrence statistics with a set of context dimensions. With the increasing availability of larg...

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns

attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...

On the Meaning of Computer Models of Robot-Environment Interaction

The “meaning” of a computer model — a computer simulation — of some physical system is an ill-defined concept, and clearly it would strengthen any hypotheses based on such models if some formal model verification was possible. In this paper we present experiments on computer modelling of mobile robot operation, in which the interaction of a Scitos G5 mobile robot with a carefully chosen environ...

Categorical Foundations for Extended Compositional Distributional Models of Meaning

Compositional distributional models of meaning were introduced by Coecke et al. (2010, 2013) with the aim of reconciling the theory of distributional meaning in terms of vector space semantics with the theory of compositional interpretation as one finds it in typelogical grammars. The particular typelogical formalisms employed by Coecke et al. (pregroup grammars, Lambek calculus) have a recogni...

Concrete Sentence Spaces for Compositional Distributional Models of Meaning

Coecke, Sadrzadeh, and Clark [3] developed a compositional model of meaning for distributional semantics, in which each word in a sentence has a meaning vector and the distributional meaning of the sentence is a function of the tensor products of the word vectors. Abstractly speaking, this function is the morphism corresponding to the grammatical structure of the sentence in the category of fin...
